October in the garden

Lots of good things going on in the garden.

Abelia grandiflora
Euporatium rugosa 'Chocolate'

Geranium 'Rozanne'
Aster latiflorus 'Black Prince'
Calamagrostis
Gaura lindheimeri 'The Bride'
Geranium
Anaphalis triplinervis
Self seeded Verbena
I took these photographs at the weekend when the weather was still warm. Temperatures have now dropped with the first frost of the season forecast for tomorrow.

    I have some of the same but not that aster.

    It's a lovley plant with its dark foliage and tiny pink flowers. Only grows to around 2 foot.

    Loving the photos. Do you leave your Gaura in the ground or do you resow every Spring?

    I leave them in the ground. The seed companies say to sow every year but this clump have come through the past two winters unscathed.
